Job Description

Performs all functions necessary to register patients for inpatient, outpatient or emergency department services.

Compiles related information, forms and distributes according to type of service.

Directs, escorts or arranges for escorts to proper locations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION (or other knowledge/skills required) High School education or the equivalent GED. Prefer course work in medical terminology

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Six months clerical and customer service experience required. Some computer experience required. Prefer medical and insurance experience.
