Provide a safe, sanitary environment through the performance of essential cleaning activities. Clean assigned area, operating rooms, and isolation rooms to established standard. Prepare cleaning solutions in accordance with hospital policy and procedures. Replenish supplies in departments and patient rooms as necessary. Able to lift heavy boxes, set up and break down meeting rooms, use equipment such as floor strippers and waxers. Perform minimal maintenance on equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent desired but not required. Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Must be able to read and speak English. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
