Job Description

Respiratory therapist duties include evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with pulmonary disorders. The care of patients includes but is not limited to chest physiotherapy, cough assist, neb treatments, ventilator management, trach care, and IPV therapy. The RT also has the roll of educator for patients, families, and The Children's Center's staff. The RT is also responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and cleaning all respiratory equpment and ensuring its proper use. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in a manner consistent with The Children's Center's Mission, Vision, Values, and Standards.


Completion of approved Respiratory Therapy Program and required clinical experience. Ability to speak, understand, read and write English. One year hospital experience preferred. Active Oklahoma RCP License. CPR required. PALS preferred and required within first year of employment.
