DescriptionRole Purpose: Supervises nursing staff and operations to ensure quality patient care. Assists in compliance of OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Assists in determining staffing requirements. Screens and interviews nursing applicants and orients and trains staff. Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities. Supervise professional nursing staff. Assist with maintaining effective staff coverage for the practice within budgetary constraints. Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime. Participate in the interviewing and recruiting of clinical personnel to maximize service to patients in accordance with practice policies and procedures. Assist with review and revision of clinical policies and procedures. Assist in verifying encounter form charges to ensure proper and appropriate charges. Assist with staff training and in-services as required. Ensure nurses maintain all required mandatory education and competencies on an annual basis. Assist in maintaining personnel files. Ensure all licensing and certification criteria are met. Communicate skillfully with patients and families, triaging problems and needs, and initiating appropriate actions. Document all communications accurately and appropriately. Provide support and direction as required in the area of clinical research in the practice to ensure staff compliance to the established research protocols. Ensure clinical staff ongoing knowledge of regulatory requirements. Perform in the role of staff nurse as necessary. Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Seven years experience as a registered nurse, including at least two years oncology experience and one year supervisory experience. Current CPR (Healthcare Provider). Experience and knowledge in the management of physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor or Masters of Science in Nursing preferred. Oncology certification preferred.
