The Clinical Nurse Educator is a clinician with a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competence in a specialized area of nursing. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the assessment, planning, organization, administration, continued development, evaluation and effectiveness of educational programs presented to nursing staff and nursing support staff at Southside Regional Medical Center.
BSN Required. Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical/surgical and critical care nursing areas (ICU or ED). Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health care team members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care. Mastery of principles and practice of nursing required. Mastery of adult education techniques preferred. Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills using the English language required. Independent judgment, organizational ability and initiative are required. PC skills for word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required.
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
CPR Instructor Status required.
ACLS Instructor Status preferred.
Day Shift - with rotation if needed
