Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The Provider Enrollment Specialist effectively and efficiently completes enrollment applications according to government regulations for all Physician and Non-Physician Practitioners and any affiliates of the Mercy Health Network according to government regulations. The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible to effectively manage a high volume of individual and group applications with superb accuracy and efficiently manage their time to insure timely billing of patient accounts. The Provider Enrollment Specialists assists with ensuring that the hold and release of patient claims are carried out appropriately based on the providers payor/plan participation. The Provider Enrollment Specialist performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Education: College degree or work related experience

Minimum two (2) years related experience in the field of provider enrollment, medical staff services, credentialing, billing, coding, medical records, or other medically related fields preferred.
Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office programs preferred.
Strong clerical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Must have personal transportation with expectations of local travel.


Must have ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, and perform all daily assignments with consistent accuracy.
Ability to use logic in determining correct document processing and to read, understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Must be detail oriented and have highly developed organizational skills.
Required to maintain strict confidentiality.
Maintains good working relationships within the department and other co-workers
